Instead of volunteering as in years past, I competed in the 2008 Mr. International Bear Contest at IBR in San Francisco. I loved having the opportunity to work with (rather than compete against) 13 wonderful men in support of important LGBT-related causes. The experience was both liberating and inspiring.
